Update, August 5: Module updates to Stanford Sites were not fully completed during the maintenance windows of the week of July 29th. Instead, sites on people.stanford.edu will continue to be updated during regular maintenance windows in the week of August 5th. Department and group sites on Stanford Sites will receive the updates at a later date in August.

What is a Call to Action?
A Call to Action is a snippet of text with a link, sometimes styled as a button or with an arrow after it. Use Calls to Action when you want to get your readers to do something — whether it's to click through to another page, download a document, or even purchase something. A few basic academic examples might be:
IT Services will perform database updates for the Stanford Sites Drupal hosting service, including department and group websites hosted on sites.stanford.edu and individuals' websites hosted on people.stanford.edu, on the following dates:
- Thursday, July 11, from 4 a.m. - 6 a.m.
- Saturday, July 13, from 5 a.m. - 8 a.m.
